Music into architecture
The architectural shapes of our proposal are inspired by the natural and organic flow that only music is capable of creating.
We took the Piano Concerto No 1 of Frédéric Chopin and transformed it to the concert hall’s architecture. For its emotive qualities, the leading melody of the first violin from the prelude score was chosen for the roof.
The Concert Hall, Main Rehearsal Space, and Public Foyer, are wrapped in a glass facade which assumes a crystalline form of the music. Glass walls following the musical lines of the violins, clarinets etc, from the Chopin score, create multiple reflections and refractions of light in the facade. Brass and timber complete the material pallet.
